How many nappies do I need?
Obviously this depends on how often your bub soils their nappy, we recommend at least 20 nappies if you’d like to go full time.
What do I do with the soiled nappies?
If they're wet -> Remove the nappies and store them in either a travel bag or a dry bucket.
If they're soiled -> Scrape off the poo in the toilet (good to use a spatula for this) and then do the same as the above.
How should I wash them?
Washing our cloth nappies is pretty straightforward:
- Put them through a rinse cycle or pre-wash
- Then put them through a full wash cycle at 40-60 degrees celsius.
- Hang them out to dry in the sunlight. You can tumble dry the inserts however we don't recommend tumble drying the covers as this can damage the PUL (polyurethane laminate.)

Can I use nappy/barrier cream? You sure can, however we recommend using a liner if so. Build up of oils can reduce the absorbency of the nappies. If you do find that your nappies are losing absorbency due to oil build up, you can always strip wash them: http://www.thenappylady.co.nz/strip-wash.html
